Lazar who was resurrected by Jesus Christ lived in Cyprus. The second death of Lazar was after 30 long years of stay at Larnaca. That is a belief of the Greek Orthodox Church of Cyprus. The church of Agios Lazaros lies over his tomb. As this church is a great part of the history of Cyprus, I visited that on my second day of stay.

Nanny Vasiliki is over eighty. She needs support even to stand up. Yet she would struggle to reach every nook and corner of her restaurant, kitchen, store and billing counter and all. What is more, even dining customers could experience her physical presence. She would appear in unsteady gait with her walker.

As I walked through the streets of Lafkara I only wished if I could stay there for a full two days. I longed to be in one of those rooms on the top floor of the limestone buildings. I wished to spend lazy evenings simply sitting on one of those balconies jutting into the crowded streets. In the front I could see the vast farm fields of Lafkara and the vales and dales of Cyprus far into the great distance. Bathing in the warm sunshine, I could have enjoyed the cold breeze of the Mediterranean.

I was carefully focusing the viewfinder of my camera. I was then crossing over a narrow footpath that divided the city. I turned back when I heard a whistle blowing. Two armed men were sternly walking towards me. Three or four security men were there in a close by bunker.
Place Charlie check point, City of Nicosia. It divided Cyprus into Turkish and Greek territories. One side is under the control of Greek Cypriots.

Santhosh George travels
through Taiwan and finds that
everywhere snake meat is the
best delicacy people
enjoy. Taiwan is indeed a snake
kingdom, as people eagerly wait
to buy snake meat, snake blood
and milk with added snake venom! |

This
is the story of a young man, one
who is in search of his kin among
the 'dead'. His name is Tith
Senith, a tour guide
in Phom Penh. He is a very
efficient guide, smart enough
to guide the tourists through
the past and the present of his
country. |

Wouldn’t
it be amusing if someone mimics
you while you walk through the
streets, and the passers by
laugh their hearts out? |

In
the expedition across the African
continent, the trips along the
Kenyan forests are unforgettable.
Going deep into the thick forests
to photograph the animals had
been a dream for me.
